High Tech Psalm

The Lord is my programmer, I shall not crash.

He installed His software on the hard disk of my heart;
All of His commands are user-friendly;
His directory guides me to the right choices for His name sake.

Even though I scroll through the problems of life,
I will fear no bugs, for He is my backup.
His password protects me, He prepares a menu before me in the presence of my enemies;
His help is only a stroke away.

Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and
My file will be merged with His and saved forever.

Psalm 66:5

Lessons from Noah's Ark

1. Don't miss the boat.

2. Don't forget we're all in the same boat.

3. Plan ahead - it wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.

4. Stay fit - when you're 600 years old, someone might ask u to do something really big.

5. Don't listen to critics, just get on with what has to be done.

6. For safety's sake,  travel in pairs.

7. 2 heads are better than one.

8. Build your future on high ground.

9. Speed isn't always an advantage, after all, the snails were on the same ark with the cheetahs.

10. When you're stressed, float awhile.

11. Remember the ark was built by amateurs, the Titanic was built by Professionals.

12. Remember that the woodpeckers inside are a larger threat than the storm outside.

13. NO MATTER WHAT THE STORM, WHEN GOD IS WITH YOU, THERE'S A RAINBOW WAITING.

Psalm 23 (Revised)

Dieter's Prayer

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

He maketh me lie down and go push ups,
He giveth me sodium-free bread,
He restoreth my waistline,
He leadeth me past the refrigerator for mine own sake.

He maketh me partake of broccoli instead of potatoes,
He leadeth me past the pizzeria;

Yea, though I walk through the bakery,
I shall not falter, for Thou Art with me,
With diet colas I am comforted.

Thou preparest a diet for me in the presence of my enemies. Thou anointest my lettuce with low - cal olive oil. My cup will never overflow.

Surely Ry-Krisp and D-Zerta shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall live with the pangs of hunger forever. Amen.

Daffodils

When we were in the woods beyond Gowbarrow Park, we saw a few daffodils close to the water side. We fancied that the lake had floated the seed ashore and that the little colony had so sprung up. But as we went along there were more and more and at last under the boughs of the trees, we saw that there was a long belt of them along the shore, about the breadth of a country turnpike road.

I never saw daffodils so beautiful they grew among the mossy stones about and about them, some rested their heads upon these stones as on a pillow for weariness and the rest tossed and reeled and danced and seemed as if they verily laughed with the wind that blew upon them over the lake, they looked so gay (happy) ever dancing ever changing.

This wind blew directly over the lake to them. There was here and there a little knot and a few stragglers a few yards higher up but they were so few as not to disturb the simplicity and unity and life of that one busy highway. We rested again and again. The Bays were stormy, and we heard the waves at different distances and in the middle of the water like the sea.

CAN WE BE LIKE DAFFODILS? =))
